But at the end of it, once it had become clear Octavia could not, would not be sleeping in the bedroom, Lucifer had dragged some bedding out onto the galley floor for her. And then he'd stayed there with her.
And after almost three days, she'd finally slept more than the occasional moment of nodding off wherever she'd been sitting. She still felt like she'd been tossing and turning for most of the night, but she had slept. When she opened her eyes now that it was morning, she felt some of the haze of the past couple of days was gone. Or at least had abated for the time being.
She would take it.
