Lucifer's Mansion, Sunday Night

It had been another weird week. But enough of the weird - both from this week, and the ones before it - had apparently passed for Octavia and Lucifer to meet up at the house again on this Sunday evening for another date night.

The previously unfurnished room on the second floor was no longer unfurnished. Octavia didn't know whether Lucifer had noticed yet, especially since she'd left the door closed after she'd been done with it. She didn't know whether it would come into play yet, anyway.

And either way, they were downstairs, sitting down properly at the dining table. A gesture towards things Lucifer liked. And Octavia had cooked, even if the main had been just a very simple salad, which they were just about finished with. The equally simple dessert was still waiting in the fridge.

"Maybe one of these weeks you could give me a lesson." A beat. "You know, for cooking. We could make a thing of it."

[ooc: For, you guessed it, that guy.]

"It did lead to me fucking you and Duke in the fuck me bedroom well before we all got together," Lucifer said, "So it worked out."

"Well." No arguing with that. "This is definitely gonna be related to that."

"Oh good," Lucifer said, perking up.

Octavia had just reached for the door handle, but paused with a snort.

"Did you think it might not be?"

[my_own_advocate]

"It's you," Lucifer pointed out. "These things could be a range of surprises, not all related to extremely vigorous happy monkey sex."

[okteiviakom]

"... What."

No, what?

[my_own_advocate]

"It's a figure of speech."

[okteiviakom]

"It's a weird one."

[my_own_advocate]

"Can we please not lose track over that one?"

[okteiviakom]

"Do you think I've lost the track?"

Hovering by the door like she was.

[my_own_advocate]

Lucifer looked from her hand to the door handle. "Yes."

Octavia rolled her eyes at him - but turned to the door again, so maybe that was just the right prompt. She opened it, and stepped aside.

The room looked like any other room in the mansion. Only, it now had an imposing frame made of dark wood and metal in the middle of it, shaped like a rectangle and about seven feet tall, like a doorway with no wall around it. There were several metal rings attached symmetrically down either side of it. There was also a little bench next to it, which looked like a perfect fit for the base of the frame. Not everyone here was over six feet tall, after all.

And across from it, there was an armchair Octavia had commandeered from somewhere else in the house.

Lucifer blinked. Once. Twice. "Darling, did you have them build us a kinky sex room?"

"Well, I had someone build a bondage frame," Octavia rasped, "and then had someone else bring it here and put it together."

A beat.

"But I guess, yeah."

[my_own_advocate]

That... was definitely not what Lucifer had expected.

He stared a bit, and-- well. "Wow," was the only word that came to mind.

Octavia didn't really know what to make of that.

She found herself watching his face for something more.

[my_own_advocate]

"I can't believe you did all that," Lucifer said, finally, as he realized more words were sufficient. "I should clarify, I like it, it opens up a whole host of possibilities. I'm just adjusting to a world where this is something you're capable of."

"... I didn't even do that much," Octavia replied, slowly. "All I had to even order special was the bench."

"You ordered large bondage furniture to be installed in my house surreptitiously," Lucifer pointed out. Another blink.

Then: "I love you."

[okteiviakom]

"I also used your credit card."

She loved you too, Lucifer.

[my_own_advocate]

"Well, obviously," Lucifer said casually. "That's what it's for."

[okteiviakom]

"Just letting you know."

Because she was nice like that.

"So... You like it?"

[my_own_advocate]

"Like I said," Lucifer said, as a grin was finally beginning to take shape on his face. "It offers potential."

Possibly even beyond the two of them, at some point.

Octavia nodded, although there was still something far gentler than a grin on her face. "I thought it might have multiple uses."

"Why don't you tell me about what you've thought about doing with it?" Lucifer asked.
