Lucifer's Mansion, Sunday Night

It had been another weird week. But enough of the weird - both from this week, and the ones before it - had apparently passed for Octavia and Lucifer to meet up at the house again on this Sunday evening for another date night.

The previously unfurnished room on the second floor was no longer unfurnished. Octavia didn't know whether Lucifer had noticed yet, especially since she'd left the door closed after she'd been done with it. She didn't know whether it would come into play yet, anyway.

And either way, they were downstairs, sitting down properly at the dining table. A gesture towards things Lucifer liked. And Octavia had cooked, even if the main had been just a very simple salad, which they were just about finished with. The equally simple dessert was still waiting in the fridge.

"Maybe one of these weeks you could give me a lesson." A beat. "You know, for cooking. We could make a thing of it."

[ooc: For, you guessed it, that guy.]

"I could probably still manage if I wanted to," Lucifer said, grinning. "But why would I?"

Octavia snorted. "Yeah, I'm aware we don't actually have any restraints or stuff like that that you couldn't break if you wanted to."

"It's good quality, though," Lucifer said. "I'm glad you didn't settle for less."

[okteiviakom]

"I wouldn't dare," Octavia replied, looking up towards the top of the frame. "Also I wouldn't want anything like this falling on my head in the middle of things."

"It would kill the mood."

[okteiviakom]

"And give me a concussion."

Which she really didn't need, with her history of head injuries.

Octavia reached up along the side of the frame, ran her fingers over one of the metal rings jutting out of it. "And this is definitely meant for a mood that sticks around for a while."

"One of those date nights that lasts for hours," Lucifer agreed, watching her fingers more than anything else.

They traced the edge of the ring. It was cool against her skin, compared to the wood.

"Mm-hmm."

[my_own_advocate]

"What are you thinking about?" Lucifer murmured.

[okteiviakom]

"Tying you up on this."

Had she been? She was now.

"It is appropriately sized," Lucifer said, smirking.

... and then, with a movement, stepped into it, just to show how appropriately sized.

"Of course it is," Octavia rasped, finally letting go of his hand so that she could instead take a step back for a better look at the... big picture of it all. "I made sure it would be."

"See," Lucifer said, extending his hands to grip the top of the frame. "Precise."

"Okay, when it matters, yeah," Octavia said, not looking at his face because the span of his body was a wonder like this.

Lucifer had half a mind to take his shirt off.

He grinned impishly at her, flexing.

It was ridiculous how attractive he was. And possibly even more ridiculous how much that made Octavia want to both hug him and climb him like a tree.

Her lips were curving into something a little crooked. "Oh, see, it's like it was made for you."

"I was about to say the same," Lucifer laughed.

His hands slid off the frame, and began to unbutton his shirt.

Octavia didn't wolf-whistle, but kind of looked like she might as well have.

It was all the leering.

"Just trying to get a good feel of what this might be like," Lucifer said, innocently.

He dropped the shirt to the ground, gripped the top of the frame anew, and really-- flexed.

And here was poor Octavia who didn't really have a thing with muscles and yet was not not into muscles --

Well, the leering didn't exactly go away. Just fixated even more on his arms, and abs.

"I could do a few pull-ups if you'd like," Lucifer grinned.

[okteiviakom]

Octavia's gaze flicked (after a beat, anyway) up to his face. "Well, I guess that would put it to the test whether the frame's as good as it's supposed to be..."

"Sound reasoning," Lucifer said, and...

Yeah, definitely pulled himself up by the top of that (sturdy) frame.

It didn't budge, and that was a very good sign.

And one Octavia was paying no attention to, too busy taking in the sight of his body again.

"It holds very well," Lucifer said, appreciatively.

And pulled up one more time before he bothered to put his feet back onto the ground.
