Lucifer's Mansion, Sunday Night

It had been another weird week. But enough of the weird - both from this week, and the ones before it - had apparently passed for Octavia and Lucifer to meet up at the house again on this Sunday evening for another date night.

The previously unfurnished room on the second floor was no longer unfurnished. Octavia didn't know whether Lucifer had noticed yet, especially since she'd left the door closed after she'd been done with it. She didn't know whether it would come into play yet, anyway.

And either way, they were downstairs, sitting down properly at the dining table. A gesture towards things Lucifer liked. And Octavia had cooked, even if the main had been just a very simple salad, which they were just about finished with. The equally simple dessert was still waiting in the fridge.

"Maybe one of these weeks you could give me a lesson." A beat. "You know, for cooking. We could make a thing of it."

"You ordered large bondage furniture to be installed in my house surreptitiously," Lucifer pointed out. Another blink.

Then: "I love you."

"I also used your credit card."

She loved you too, Lucifer.

"Well, obviously," Lucifer said casually. "That's what it's for."

"Just letting you know."

Because she was nice like that.

"So... You like it?"

[my_own_advocate]

"Like I said," Lucifer said, as a grin was finally beginning to take shape on his face. "It offers potential."

Possibly even beyond the two of them, at some point.

Octavia nodded, although there was still something far gentler than a grin on her face. "I thought it might have multiple uses."

"Why don't you tell me about what you've thought about doing with it?" Lucifer asked.

Octavia gave a tiny nod, and finally tugged him into the room with her. Didn't seem right to talk about it and not be where he could take a closer look.

Up close, the frame clearly had some good craftmanship.

"I think a lot of it is pretty obvious." That didn't mean she wasn't going to still say those things. "One of us gets cuffed or tied up to it..."

"...And the other one has their fun," Lucifer said, his eyes passing over the construction with a gleam of appreciation. (He did love good craftmanship. He hoped she'd made the most of his credit card.) "Possibly ones?"

Octavia also appreciated good craftmanship, and did not care much about money. So, yes.

"Possibly ones," she agreed with a glance up at his face. "There's not exactly a limit to how many people can play with this at once."

"Perhaps something for a later time, then," Lucifer said, smiling. "And we should probably tell him about it."

"What, and not spring it on him?" Octavia teased with a faint eyebrow-raise.

"I mean at least make sure he knows about the option," Lucifer said, faintly amused.

He reached out to touch the frame.

It was sturdy and solid.

"I made sure it's not gonna be easy to topple over," Octavia noted.

"I could probably still manage if I wanted to," Lucifer said, grinning. "But why would I?"

Octavia snorted. "Yeah, I'm aware we don't actually have any restraints or stuff like that that you couldn't break if you wanted to."

"It's good quality, though," Lucifer said. "I'm glad you didn't settle for less."

[okteiviakom]

"I wouldn't dare," Octavia replied, looking up towards the top of the frame. "Also I wouldn't want anything like this falling on my head in the middle of things."

"It would kill the mood."

[okteiviakom]

"And give me a concussion."

Which she really didn't need, with her history of head injuries.

Octavia reached up along the side of the frame, ran her fingers over one of the metal rings jutting out of it. "And this is definitely meant for a mood that sticks around for a while."

"One of those date nights that lasts for hours," Lucifer agreed, watching her fingers more than anything else.

They traced the edge of the ring. It was cool against her skin, compared to the wood.

"Mm-hmm."

[my_own_advocate]

"What are you thinking about?" Lucifer murmured.

[okteiviakom]

"Tying you up on this."

Had she been? She was now.

[my_own_advocate]

"It is appropriately sized," Lucifer said, smirking.

... and then, with a movement, stepped into it, just to show how appropriately sized.
