Lucifer's Mansion, Very Late Friday Night

Octavia hadn't said much on the walk over from the club. Hadn't felt like it, for whatever reason. And there was worth to be found in silence on a late-night walk through town, anyway.

But they were here now. Just inside the door, and Octavia sighed and brushed her hair back from her face, and and seemed to try and inhale some sociability into herself.

"Do you have fruit?"

The odds didn't seem great. It wasn't like he was actually here a whole lot, these days.

Octavia's sigh was very fake in how heavy it was.

"Yeah, I know." Her hand cupped his cheek. Her other one joined it on the other side, to cradle his face. "My Lucifer doesn't lie."

"Point of pride," Lucifer affirmed, his smirk slipping into something a bit more-- smiley. "They are two different flavors of lovely on you."

That was what Octavia liked to see, as much as she adored his smirking.

"And if I wore them both at the same time?"

Lucifer laughed softly. "Peeling away the goddess to reveal the sexy queen?" he teased. "Now that would be interesting."

Octavia snorted. "Only you would think that."

That was not true.

But she reached up to give him a little kiss, all the same.

"I think I know at least one person who'd agree with me," Lucifer returned, and then she was kissing him, and that was good.

The more... elaborate harness may have been a little more complicated there.

But instead of getting into that, yes, Octavia was kissing him again. Still cradling his face between her hands, keeping the kiss slow and warm.

It wasn't really about that, anyway.

Lucifer's fingers were in her hair, against her back as he drew her up and in against him.

Perfect.

Octavia went with it eagerly, tangling limbs further with limbs.

Sometimes you just had to.

It was certainly welcome. Lucifer kissed her again, running hotter now.

But not by that much.

Something about her mood tonight had him craving this contact more than the sex, which was confusing.

Well, he was definitely getting a lot of it, right now. And Octavia wished for fewer clothes, sure, but that was more about her fondness for skin on skin than anything else.

Probably.

She was responding in kind, either way.

His hands slipped under her shirt again, because all other feelings aside, Lucifer was as fond of skin on skin as she was.

"Let me get you out of this," he murmured.

"Okay," Octavia breathed, finally pulling her hands away from his face and his neck to help with that.

She didn't really need a shirt.

Did she ever truly need her shirt?

Lucifer pulled it over her head and cast it aside, sitting back for a moment just to look at her.

And Octavia let him. Didn't raise her eyebrows, didn't make any sort of raspy quip.

Just sank back against the mattress, and watched him looking at her in her no-nonsense bra, with all her black ink and faded scars.

"I like the dress and the harness," Lucifer said, after a moment. "But this is a sight I won't get tired of."

Octavia pushed some hair behind her ear, but all it really did was add that strand to the rest that were fanned out around her head against the mattress.

"Why am I not surprised?"

"Because you're aware of how attractive you are?" Lucifer teased, unbuttoning his shirt.

[okteiviakom]

"Because I'm aware of what you like," Octavia retorted. Watching his hands. "And what you're like."

[my_own_advocate]

"That almost makes it sound like a bad thing," Lucifer said, stripping out of his shirt.

[okteiviakom]

"It's not."

If she sounded distracted, well, she was looking at his chest. Or his shoulders.

(Or his freckles.)

"Glad we have that sorted out," Lucifer said.

He had planned to go for her bra next, but... well, now he had to sit back and let her look.

Eventually, after a long moment of looking, Octavia's eyes flicked back up to his face. "Every part of you is ridiculous."

She thought the same about Duke, so... Guess she had a type.

Lucifer snorted.

"You're terrible at compliments," he said.

Octavia's expression immediately went more wry, but not without a trace of fondness mixed in there.

"Was I supposed to be giving one?"
