Olympus Heights, Rapture, Thursday
Jun. 13th, 2019 08:01 pmIt was Thursday, and so technically speaking, Octavia should have been at Covent Garden today. But who was going to be buying flowers at a time like this? Not anyone Octavia would've wanted to sell them to, that was for sure. So she was doing the same thing she'd been doing most days this week: exploring Rapture, venturing further and further away from the part that was still halfway recognizably Fandom. She was getting more comfortable with each passing day - for a given value of comfort, anyway. Sure of herself, if nothing else. She had a handle on how the twisted citizens of Rapture behaved, erratic though they were, and was getting a decent sense of how to get around without getting ambushed or spotted too many times.
She hoped Indra would've been proud.
It was unlikely anyone else would be.
Today, she was in Olympus Heights. She'd seen the signs for it before, and, how was she supposed to not be intrigued? (The same way she felt the opposite for the signs that said Arcadia.) There was a sense of disappointment to how it seemed to mostly be just more of the same, winding corridors with glass walls and the occasional doorway into what passed for buildings here in the deep. Didn't seem like it deserved to be called Olympus anything. But maybe Octavia was biased.
She was making her way into Central Square Bistro right now, hoping to loot something but not expecting much. And of course, there was a hitch along the way: as she rounded the corner into the Bistro proper, a corpse surprised her, because of course it wasn't a corpse but one of the questionable wrecks that inhabited this city. He sprung to his feet and rushed at her.
So, good thing she could currently shoot bolts of electricity from her hand, huh?
