Lucifer's Mansion, Saturday Night

Yesterday, there'd been shopping. And today, there was...

Okay, Octavia was still not the most comfortable using words like 'date night'.

But it was probably a date night. She was even wearing a sleek black blouse with her black jeans, in an approximation of something Lucifer might like to see.

There'd also been a nice little meal, just now. And Octavia had even allowed herself a small glass of wine to go with it, the last of which she was making her way through now that they were cuddled up on the couch, still downstairs.

A little moment of rest before dessert, so to speak.

"That was delicious," she told Lucifer, her head tilted against his shoulder. "But it usually is."

Lucifer laughed softly, voice low, "Are you asking me to unwrap you?"

"I'm giving you reasons to do so."

Because she was crafty like that.

Lucifer smiled. This time, when he went in for the kiss, his hands slid up under her blouse.

It was convenient like that, soft and loose on her. And underneath it, his hand met another layer of fabric a little lower than usual.

The laciness of it all was likely to be very obvious to the touch.

Octavia gave a tiny hum into the kiss, and teased at his lower lip with the tip of her tongue.

"I see you're just full of surprises," Lucifer breathed, and then parted his lips in a blatant invite.

His hands ran up higher, until they cupped her.

Some quip about just trying to make this good was completely lost to Octavia readily accepting that invite to deepen the kiss.

And to press further into his touch, too. What was even the point, really, if all those embroidered flowers didn't press into his palm?

None at all. He appreciated her dedication to texture. The feel of it, moving under his palm. Lucifer let her in, following her lead, making a soft noise in the back of his throat as the kiss grew deeper.

Octavia really should have set the wine glass aside before getting this far into things.

Maybe in a moment? Because right now, she seemed intent on just thanking him properly for dinner. Via re-familiarizing herself with his mouth.

With growing enthusiasm.

Lucifer's fingers explored the lace with gentle curiosity. He loved the little peek of warm skin when he brushed over it, the press of it...

She probably should finish her wine. It'd be a shame not to.

But it was very hard to stop kissing her right now. Very, very hard. Nigh impossible.

Very hard, yes, especially when almost all Octavia managed to think about was the realization of a new worth in buying lingerie: his touch was always exciting to her, but a different arrengement of fabric between his hand and her skin also made for a subtly different sensation.

It also made her want to reach up and slide her fingers into his hair.

Which was when she remembered about the glass, as that hand began to move, only to then abruptly stop. Luckily, there wasn't enough wine left for her to actually spill anything, but it still startled her out of the kiss.

"Oh."

Lucifer managed another laugh. "Better drink that and put it aside, darling."

Octavia made a faintly frustrated noise, but pulled back enough to actually take a sip.

There was still another sip's worth left.

"And let me help you out of this," Lucifer teased, pushing her shirt up.

Might as well, as long as they were distracted.

"Go ahead."

Octavia was even going to be helpful by raising her free arm some.

Lucifer stripped the blouse off of her with care, making sure to set it aside gently. "Last sip," he prompted.

And they should probably move this upstairs, he realized.

Octavia was thinking the same thing. She drank that last sip in a particularly deliberate fashion, then said, "All done."

And then got up from the couch.

(The bra, for the record, went great with her jeans.)

It did. He had to sit there and watch her move, admiring, just for a moment.

"Excellent," Lucifer said. He slid up to his feet, his hand settling over the small of her back.

"We're going upstairs now."

It wasn't an order, but it wasn't a question, either.

Just acknowledgement that they were probably thinking the same thing.

"We absolutely are," Lucifer said, already steering her there. "I put our purchases in the night stand."

"Smart move," Octavia told him, letting him guide her because the touching was nice. "We're well on our way to stocking every place we hang out at."

Lucifer grinned. "Now just Samsara," he said, dropping his hand once they got to the stairs. "Oh, I promised Duke pictures..."

Octavia cast him an amused glance, like of course he had.

"Then I guess you'll have to take pictures."

[my_own_advocate]

"I plan to," Lucifer promised. He gestured. "After you."

He wanted a view.

And a view he would have.

Was that a tiny bit of an extra sway in Octavia's hips as she moved up the stairs? Maybe, but you couldn't prove anything.

(It was probably the wine.)

"Lovely," Lucifer sighed, and then hurried up the stairs after her.
