A Sailboat in San Diego Bay, Friday
Far away from Fandom collectively heaving a sigh of relief, the sailboat vacation was still going well. Even if not all parts of it really counted as vacationing - meaning that Octavia had gotten up early, this morning, to account for the time difference between San Diego and New York. Wasn't going to take a break from therapy just because she was on the opposite coast, not with the way the past couple of months had gone.
And much like on Tuesday, it had been... a little easier than several of the sessions in the very recent past. Even with the video chat aspect, which she wasn't entirely comfortable with. But, clearly enough.
They'd talked about this trip. And tattoos.
And grief.
And now all of that was done, and she made her way across the boat again, and leaned in the master bedroom door, seeing if the guys were still sleeping.
[ooc: NFB, open for the boys that are here, and calls/texts.]

His hand crept up Octavia's chest.

"Oh, you're taking on the watcher role, this time?"

Duke's more tanned arm against Octavia's increasingly less pale hip was a deeply pretty thing he couldn't help but look at.

"Take all the time you want, snogon."
It felt like she hadn't called him that enough, lately.
(Couldn't remember the last time she had.)
no subject
"Well then. I will."

He pulled his hand back, and put it on the table, instead. Leaning back to watch them.

And all it took was a lagoon, and her boys.
"We have all day," she said, a little softer. "And we can do whatever the hell we want with it."

Some time, some breakfast, and some more naked entertainment later, they found themselves sprawled across the deck. Duke basked in the sunshine like a lizard on a warm rock, watching the light bounce off the water.
"So," he said after a bit. "Who's up for some swimming?"
no subject
He was, however, inclined to move as sluggish as a lizard could, as well.
no subject
"Sure," Octavia said, running a lazy hand through her hair, "I guess I could put on a bathing suit..."
She was joking, obviously.
no subject
He'd obviously never enforce it. But it was enough just to say it.
no subject
He let out a little sigh as he sat up.
no subject
She also sat up, but slowly, and with a little stretch of her arms above her head once she got there.

Democracy and watching Octavia stretch.
no subject
"We will not be holding any votes."
no subject
He dove off into the bright, clear water.

And, with a wink in Octavia's general direction, followed suit.

So she made her way to the rear of the boat, to sit down by the steps, her feet barely reaching the surface as her legs hung over the edge.
no subject
While doing his best to make sure it didn't feel like he was watching her.
"Man, this hits the spot."
no subject
He felt deeply relaxed and he was determined to cling to that feeling for as long as possible.
no subject
"Or some other sea creature," she offered, swinging one foot back and forth a little, making tiny ripples along the surface of the water.
