A Sailboat in San Diego Bay, Friday
Far away from Fandom collectively heaving a sigh of relief, the sailboat vacation was still going well. Even if not all parts of it really counted as vacationing - meaning that Octavia had gotten up early, this morning, to account for the time difference between San Diego and New York. Wasn't going to take a break from therapy just because she was on the opposite coast, not with the way the past couple of months had gone.
And much like on Tuesday, it had been... a little easier than several of the sessions in the very recent past. Even with the video chat aspect, which she wasn't entirely comfortable with. But, clearly enough.
They'd talked about this trip. And tattoos.
And grief.
And now all of that was done, and she made her way across the boat again, and leaned in the master bedroom door, seeing if the guys were still sleeping.
[ooc: NFB, open for the boys that are here, and calls/texts.]

He touched the side of the boat and paddled happily in place for a moment, grinning up at Octavia.

And the diner staff.

At Duke, this time.

And tried splashing some water at Lucifer, too.

And now he had a face full of water. "Brat," Lucifer called, and shoved his hand forward, sending a whole spray at Octavia.

She looked almost smug.

And watched them.

The hand-grabbing was really only a prelude to cupping Duke's cheek and kissing him.
Playfully. Look, there was a pirate all covered in salt water, you had to check what that tasted like, obviously.

Duke hummed happily, then pulled back. "See, but kissing right after splashing makes me worry you're about to dunk me."
He didn't sound like getting dunked would be much of a problem for him.

And then, almost as quietly, she slid from the edge of the rear into the water.
no subject
As opposed to, oh, five seconds after he said that.
no subject
Which would be an excellent time for dunking, yes.
no subject
Except not at all, judging by the sound she made when it happened, while she was treading water still very close to the boat.

He was grinning, too.
no subject
But she was... smiling. Just a little, as she watched them playing around.

Well, he did swim away. Just not nearly as fast as he could. Had to give Duke a fighting chance, here.

Just getting a feel for not being in a pool.

Duke couldn't hear him, but that wasn't stopping Lucifer from taunting him!
... while having no idea exactly where the man was. Bloody ocean water.
