Lucifer's Mansion, Sunday Evening

Another Sunday, another date night at the mansion, another meal almost finished. The dessert was more chocolate than it was fruit, but the latter was still very much a part of it. The combination seemed to be just the right thing for Octavia, because...

"Is it too much if I lick the bowl?"

The answer was not going to affect her much.

"I love you," Octavia murmured. "That's always what it is."

"So I could wait," Lucifer said, smiling.

Octavia's eyes fluttered open again. Not all the way, but enough that she could see him again.

"Kiss me."

'Yes," Lucifer whispered.

He closed the distance, meeting her lips with his own.

Octavia's hand found its way curve along the side of his neck, her thumb resting against his jaw. He didn't need to be pulled in, but he did need to be touched.

Even as her lips were doing a lot of that.

He appreciated it, the warm, stabilizing weight of her hand against his neck, the firm tenderness of her thumb.

Lucifer sighed, his own hand dropping down to her leg, and gave himself to the kiss.

So did Octavia.

Slow, but... firm. Assertive in its affection, somehow. Like she wanted no chance of him feeling anything but loved by her.

How could he, really? Lucifer made a soft noise, something that came from deep inside his chest, where warmth spread deep.

"Incredible," he whispered, and kissed her again.

Octavia kissed him back, exactly as fierce as before.

And just deepened it.

Oh. Well.

He felt that elsewhere, though Lucifer wasn't about to call attention to it. His hand slid down, rubbing her knee under the water.

His lips parted.

Guess she was comfortable in the water?

Or she was just comfortable.

Either way, Octavia made sure to claim his mouth for hers as soon as he yielded to her.

He went pliant against her. Not in the way he did for their games; there was just a softness to him, an invitation.

Lucifer loved her deeply. He knew she loved him.

He accepted it. He hadn't always.

Octavia was struck by a very strong urge to pull him into her arms. Unfortunately, the tub wasn't the best place for that, so she had to settle for --

Well. Guess she was sort of trying to move onto his lap.

Lucifer let out a soft huff, but as she moved closer, so did his arms. Winding their way around her waist.

Steadying her.

That had been her idea. Settling sideways over his lap and sliding her arm over his shoulder while her other hand stayed where it was, an anchor at the side of his neck.

The kiss did not let up much.

Parts of Lucifer's anatomy were definitely reacting, but he chose to ignore them. To keep the kiss... whatever it was now.

Something between sweet and meaningful and something else.

He pulled her as close as he could.

Octavia appreciated it - even audibly, with a little hum of a noise in the back of her throat. A ghost of a purr.

She tried plastering herself against his chest more. Just because getting on his lap meant more of her was now exposed to the air again, of course. Definitely for no other reason.

Oh, hello. Lucifer's arms slid up, enclosing her back. Making sure she was... warm. Yes.

He didn't intend for that groan to roll through his chest as she pressed closer. But there it was.

Octavia exhaled something that sounded like a rough chuckle.

"Oh," she murmured against his lips. "I guess you like that."

"I don't mean to make this sexy if you don't want it to be," Lucifer murmured, "But... yes. I like that."

Octavia snickered. It was still a rough, low sound, but just a little louder.

"You can make this sexy," she rasped. "I'm giving you permission."

"Thank you," Lucifer said.

And what else could he do but follow that up by catching her bottom lip between his teeth?

Octavia's amused noise was a little more careful, this time. She did not want to disrupt him doing that, after all.

She sounded like she approved.

Lucifer's hand settled against the center of her back, and he turned that nibble into a kiss-- one with more fire, more interest.

Mmm.

Well, far be it from Octavia to not respond in kind, sliding her arms around his neck as she made sure he knew she didn't just love him.

There was want there, too.
