Lucifer's Mansion, Sunday Evening

"I don't think I've got this."

It had been a while since the last Sunday night date night.

It felt like it had been forever. And Octavia's memories of the last date night of any day of the week at the house weren't great.

None of that was what was getting to her right this second.

"It's just not doing what I want, Lucifer."

She was trying to pipe some sort of ganache onto a thing of dessert in a dainty little bowl, and no, it was not going smoothly at all. As far as issues went, it would have been almost blissfully mundane, had it not also been so very frustrating.

His hands slid up her back. Then, into her hair. And against her cheek.

Lucifer threw himself into that kiss, nipping at her bottom lip in playful challenge.

His hands went up, Octavia's went down: to his waist, sliding to his hips, then to his ass, pulling him tighter against herself.

She nipped back, a little harder but only briefly. Just another sensation for him to feel.

Lucifer made an appreciative noise. The first... stirrings... were making themselves known down where she'd pulled him in close.

He licked his way into her mouth.

Octavia's lips parted further for him, because there was zero reason for them not to. There was almost a sigh as she did, because this? This was easy, and maybe right now she needed that.

While one of her hands gave his behind a little squeeze hello.

Lucifer would have said 'hi' back out loud if he could, but his mouth was otherwise occupied.

He drew out the kiss. Taking his time exploring her mouth, letting the thrill of it stoke the embers in him back into something else.

His fingers slipped out of her hair, his fingernails scratching along the back of her neck.

Octavia shivered a little in response, and something in her shoulders seemed to give in somehow. Maybe it was just her settling fully into the moment.

Because that was where she seemed to be. Kissing him back, welcoming all of his exploration, if perhaps with a few playful grazes of her teeth here and there. Taking in every sensation.

Lucifer's hand kept going, going, over the cloth. Then he found the hem of her shirt, and slid his hand up underneath it.

He pressed her back against the counter.

And Octavia's hands made sure he stayed pressed against her - as if that had ever been in danger of changing.

Her little squirm wasn't really for any other reason than another 'hello'. Just, maybe more for his front, this time.

His front twitched back.

Lucifer pulled back. A fraction of an inch. "What are you thinking?" he panted.

The reply was immediate, in a breathless rasp. "That you should take off my pants --" Leggings, whatever. "-- and lift me up onto this counter."

Lucifer laughed breathlessly against her mouth. "As you wish," he said, and his hand slid out from under her shirt, into her waistband instead.

He pushed her leggings down.

And down they went, dragging her date night appropriate underwear down at least some of the way with them. (Sleek but lacy, a classic choice.)

"Think of it like... an appetizer," she sighed, her hands sliding up his body now. "I haven't forgotten about upstairs."

"Well," Lucifer murmured. "You know I rarely give up a chance to get my mouth on an appetizer."

His hands gripped her hips. He hoisted her up onto the counter.

Octavia mostly just pretended to help, because it wasn't like he needed it. She kind of loved that he didn't, actually - there was always a little thrill in how easily he moved her around.

"Guessing this isn't one of the rare times."

Lucifer slid his arms over her legs, his face already mostly in her lap.

"Not remotely."

Octavia gave a little snort despite herself. "I mean, just to be clear, I wasn't originally angling to be this selfish."

Yes, she knew he was unlikely to consider it selfish in the first place.

And also with the way her fingers were sliding through his hair, she clearly had no inclination to sway him away from what he was doing.

"It's hardly selfish," Lucifer said, predictably. He grinned up at her. "Though I'm curious as to your initial thoughts."

While he hooked his fingers under her panties.

"Your pants are tenting," Octavia replied easily, with the requisite downward glance, "and it's been at least almost twenty-four hours since you were overfilling me last."

That she could be very straightforward was not news.

"Ah," Lucifer said, his grin getting much more smirky. "Impatient, are we?"

He leaned in to press an obscene kiss against her nethers.

"I just --" Octavia started to say, but then there was touch and sensation and finding out what level of sensitive she'd gotten in just the past few moments, and her voice kind of petered out into a groan for a second there.

"... Just had you take my pants off, so. Sure, impatient."

Lucifer chuckled. "Well, I am at your service," he said, making sure his mouth was still up against her as he spoke.

It was maddening, in the best of ways.

And probably influenced how Octavia's fingers tightened in his hair, and yanked his head closer. Maddening was one thing, satisfying was another. "Then be."

Lucifer managed one last, amused huff...

... and then he did his best to be, his tongue flicking between her folds before his mouth wrapped around her.

Octavia made a noise that sounded relieved, as she let her head tip back and her free hand found the edge of the counter to grip.

The one gripping his hair stayed there. He didn't need any more guidance for now, but a little feeling of control never hurt.

It added a little spice, actually. Lucifer rather liked the feeling of her hand gripping him, the slight tension on his scalp.

He sucked. Gentle, at first. Coaxing her further into it.
