Lucifer's Mansion, Sunday Night

It was a very 90s alt rock kind of evening at the mansion, this particular Sunday. Which didn't actually mean much except that Octavia had commandeered the living room sound system for a bunch of Jane's Addiction and the like.

And also that dinner was even more of a relaxed affair than it usually was, meaning it was one they could enjoy on the couch. Easy, relatively non-messy finger foods.

"What was this one, again?" Octavia asked, reaching for one of the dessert ones.

"I'm all ears for anything else, though."

She drew the harness away from him, gently.

"Well, I had a lot of ideas about you fucking me when we came here for dinner," Lucifer mused, "But we can save those for next time."

"A lot, huh?" Octavia teased, stretching out next to him, on her side.

(The ceiling in her peripheral vision, but not yet drawing her attention.)

"It has been a while," Lucifer said, smirking, "And I am very fond of how... authoritative... you get."

Rather the opposite of the other partner with a penis of his own in this relationship.

Octavia snorted. "If I'd known, I might've used that here." Or not: clearly she also had a fondness for playing things by the ear. "Don't worry, I'll make time to have you facedown and ass-up on this bed again soon enough."

"Mm, but I do enjoy watching you riff," Lucifer said, leaning in to kiss her cheek.

Octavia's lips quirked a little.

"This was... enlightening," she admitted.

"Howso?" Lucifer asked.

[okteiviakom]

"Well, I've never seen you actually lose your hold like that before, for one thing," Octavia replied. "Which, by the way? Amazing."

Lucifer laughed softly. "Well, you were pushing rather hard and well."

[okteiviakom]

"I wasn't even going to make it that hard for you, originally," Octavia admitted. "But once I got going, I... wanted to see if I could."

"I noticed," Lucifer said, kissing the top of her head. "Would you have kept piling on the challenges if I hadn't come?"

Oh, if he was going to do that, then Octavia was going to cuddle closer to his chest.

"Possibly," she said. "For as long as I could have come up with something, anyway."

"Diabolical," Lucifer said, approving.

"Learned from the best," Octavia replied, and pressed a little kiss against his skin. "Who will probably pay it back eventually."

Lucifer laughed softly. "When the mood is right," he confirmed.

"Looking forward to that."

With only the appropriate amount of mild trepidation.

Lucifer smiled. "For now, though," he murmured, "I think Big Ben will give up if we give him a moment, so don't worry about him."

Octavia snorted.

"I wasn't worried."

[my_own_advocate]

"If you insist," Lucifer teased, sliding an arm around her. "Niron?"

[okteiviakom]

Octavia nuzzled at his skin some more.

"Hm?"

[my_own_advocate]

"Look up," Lucifer said softly.

It had taken him a full day to put up the velvet, and cut holes in the right places to resemble the constellations in the sky right above the Rouge, and string up all the little LEDs. But they were there, glowing gently in the relative darkness of the room.

So Octavia looked up as prompted, not sure what she was expecting to see.

But definitely not that.

"... Oh."

It was a soft, awed sound.

"I couldn't get it out of my head after our conversation on Friday," Lucifer admitted softly.

"I can see that," Octavia murmured, her gaze nailed to the ceiling. She could have sworn the constellations -- they were real. "Did you do this all yourself?"
