Lucifer's Mansion, Sunday Evening
The main course of the evening would be a nice salad, this week. And that meant Octavia was chopping a lot of fresh things into a bowl that was fast filling up.
"Finally a dish that caters to my skills," she rasped, glancing over at Lucifer putting his finishing touches on the dessert.
[ooc: For that gently modded guy, and likely some SP because that is the Sunday mood.]

The setting she'd just had-- well, that had been perfect, in its way. This? This was exactly too much, setting all his nerves alight with something that felt like close kin to pain.
Lucifer whimpered.

And yet she just watched him. He would have to use his words to get her to change a damn thing.

Eyes still open, though his expression by now looked paint, and he was panting in ragged bursts.

"Talk to me."

He didn't want to say 'yes' and admit defeat, but...

He never lied, yes, but he could leave things unsaid to the same effect.

But now he exhaled a sigh. "Yes."

She turned the intensity of the pattern back down to the previous setting, first. Then the sonic motor, and finally the regular one.
(She could have done it all at once, but...)

Part of him wanted to take it off entirely and take a moment to recover. The rest of him stayed stubborn.
"Thank you."

But he peeled his hand away from the mirror.

"That's about as far as I'm willing to make this any easier on you, though," Octavia drawled, shifting in her seat a little, slouching a little more. "Especially without asking."
