OOC: Off-season infopost cha-cha!

Heeey I have a newbie, and also had a newbie at the beginning of the semester, so here's an info post to cover 'em both. Also included is a quick rundown of all my other kids.





OCTAVIA BLAKE

Grounders don't give up. We fight. Either you get up and we fight this, or you crawl away and die alone like a coward. It's your choice.

18/19-ish, though you can't tell that by looking at her

soon-to-be employee of Groovy Tunes, because that makes sense, sure

spent all too much of her first sixteen years hiding under the floor of her family's one-room quarters on a space station

then spent about a year or so in prison for the crime of having been born, which was also the reason for all the hiding

little sister of notgetkilled and it's a big big deal because they're from a dystopian future where having more than one child was very much illegal at the time (see: Octavia getting locked up and their mother getting executed by getting floated out into space when their shared crime was found out)

doesn't have a clue where she belongs in the world, and tries so hard to find out

spent the last year or so on an Earth that's about a century post nuclear apocalypse, fun times

during that year, picked up a whole new language, way of dressing, and occasional warpaint from the Grounders (= descendants of people who didn't go to space when apocalypse hit, and still survived and went on to become warrior peoples divided into female-led clans)

will occasionally identify herself as Okteivia kom Skaikru ('Octavia of the Sky People') or kom Trigedakru ('of the Tree People')

will be privately distraught that no one here speaks Grounder

will generally be private about a lot of her emotions; girl's had to grow up a lot over the last couple of years, and she's done so in part by growing herself one tough shell

left behind a Grounder by the name of Lincoln when she stumbled into Fandom; this won't help with her issues any

is kind of sad at heart

but stubborn and brave and resilient as fuck, too

and loyal to those she holds dear

also she throws a mean sword, so handy in an invasion

JUGHEAD JONES

15 and a rising junior!

is not actually called Jughead but rather Forsythe Pendleton Jones III, but he doesn't go by that, ever, anywhere

has a troubled past of being bullied and having ended up serving a stint at Riverdale Juvenile Delinquent Center some years back

prior to Fandom, has been living in the projector room of a drive-in because his mom left (along with his kid sister Jellybean) and he didn't want to live alone with his dad

his dad's an alcoholic with ties to Riverdale's primo sketchy biker gang, the South Side Serpents

writes, a lot

will start writing a true crime story about a murder mystery in his hometown of Riverdale this fall – as it's happening

pls stop being a creeper, Juggie

eats, a lot (and will steal your food when necessary)

self-describes as weird and has some manner of social anxiety

still a remarkable teen sleuth, though

also has that dry sarcastic wit working for him

always wearing the same goddamned beanie

in the fall, she'll start college at Columbia and will live in a dorm that has her name on it

secret geek who tries way too hard to be cool and just ends up lonely

should really have a whirlwind romance over the back half of the summer for the selfish reason of not wanting to go to college inexperienced, volunteers welcome

once upon a time, fell in love with a ginger asshole by the name of Guy Gardner

is still in love with that ginger asshole

and is gonna do the dumbest thing immaginable and pack up her things and go to space to see if he still loves her back

MIKE LANE

35, from Tampa, former stripper, current bartender, builder of custom furniture, and general handyman

due for his final stripping hurrah in the vein of Magic Mike XXL soon

kinda has a thing for arboreal_priestess

also kinda starting to feel like maybe his life should be further along than it is by now, but the trip with the boys will help with that some

still one of the nicest and most easygoing people on the island

ISABELLE LIGHTWOOD

20, Shadowhunter, spending half her time in her naive NYC and half in the Shadowhunter homeland of Idris

her fiancé flickofthewrist is going to Shadowhunting school in Idris so that's why she's there a lot

has a troubled relationship with her dad, which makes living alone with him in Idris kind of awkward but oh well

may be coming back to Fandom to teach a workshop during this upcoming semester if I come up with a good topic for her

recently found out she's deathly allergic to tulips

so please don't bring her those

ENVY ADAMS
