Around the Samsara, Port of Fandom, Thursday Noon
One thing Octavia really should have learned during her time on the Cape Rouge was that there was always something to fix on a boat. And sure, the Samsara was a much smaller vessel, and simpler in a lot of ways, but there were still a lot of small things she could make better.
Or maybe she made work for herself because she needed, wanted to be doing something with her hands. Let's face it, she didn't really have to be checking all the cleats today. Or that the bimini top was doing okay after December's odd weathers.
A small fleet of porgs were crowding her while she worked. She talked to them in low, idle Trig.
"Mebi oso na gonot kom soujon deyon, hmm?"
They burbled back at her, same as ever.
