OOC: Off-Season Supplementary Infopost!

As Octavia slowly rejoins the general population of fair Fandom isle, I figured it would be good to whip up a little primer on what people who know her can notice to have changed in the time that she was gone. Lbr, I will include most of these things in most threads coming in the next few weeks, but still, nice to have a one-stop shop for them, too!

(Also I'm procrastinating on switching out her icons, so.)

So, the tl;dr version of her canon catchup is that she was back in her home universe for about seven years, and encountered many very traumatizing things as well as inflicting may traumatizing things on others. These have left behind changes in both her appearance as well as her behaviour.

Here's where we are now:

• she's 28, as opposed to the fresh-faced 21-year-old she was a month ago, so feel free to notice she looks older (and closer to her PB's actual age, fun fact)
• currently, she's very very pale from the six years she spent in an underground bunker
• also slightly thinner but also more muscular, because of questionable nutrition combined with rigorous training
• the tattoo she got on Fandom late last year is still there on her right shoulder, but now she also has one on her left shoulder cap, an asymmetric circle that's open at the bottom and accompanied by three V shaped marks; both tattoos look about as old as each other
• no longer wears Grounder braids of any kind, and her previously really long hair has been chopped to where it just barely touches her shoulders (and it's pretty obvious it was cut with a knife by someone who didn't care whether it was going to look even)
• has maaaaany new scars, though the most gruesome ones are in places most people won't get to see (she was stabbed through the abdomen, it was not a good time)
• you know all that progress she'd made with smiling and laughing since last fall? AHAHAHAHAHA. *sobs*
• yeah she's going to be extra grumpy and ill-tempered, and may straight-up walk out on conversations if they become too much for her, in the next while; it's not you, it's her
• she's going to be having a Really Bad Time for a while as she wrestles with a mix of self-righteousness and guilt regarding everything she did back on the Ground
• triggery topics and behaviors will come up, but they will be properly warned for and just generally handled in line with the game's guidelines on sensitive topics
• yes, she's a mess and YES, I am incredibly excited to have her back
